For smoky flavor, substitute 1 tablespoon applewood rub seasoning or 2 teaspoons smoked paprika for the chili powder. Or omit the chili powder and stir in 1 tablespoon chopped chipotle chile in adobo with the soup. Try serving the pork on the buns, topped with coleslaw. You can buy it prepared, or mix 1 1/2 cups coleslaw mix with 2 tablespoons mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar.
