Sticky, sweet, and a tad spicy, these ribs might be messy to eat, but totally worth it.

Instructions
To Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan, combine all the sauce ingredients. Whisk over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce begins to thicken.
To Prepare the Ribs
  1. Remove the membrane from the back of ribs, if that has not already been done. Liberally salt and pepper both sides of ribs and smear 2 ounces of the sauce on the meaty side.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup water and vinegar into the Instant Pot inner pot. Lay the ribs in the pot, meaty side down, overlapping them as needed.
  3. Secure the lid, ensuring the valve is turned to the Sealing position. Press the Pressure Cook button and set the time to 25 minutes.
  4. While the ribs cook in the appliance, turn the oven on to broil, or heat up the grill.
  5. Once cooking is complete, allow the appliance to natural release for 10 minutes and then turn the valve to the Venting position to release the pressure. When all the pressure is released, carefully remove the lid.
  6. Using tongs, remove the ribs and place them, meaty side up, on a rack sitting on a rimmed baking sheet. Slather the remaining sauce on the ribs and place them 4 inches below the broiler for 5 to 10 minutes, or until nicely charred.
  7. Remove the ribs from the broiler and top with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.
  8. TIP: The ribs can go into the Instant Pot with or without the steam rack. These will work either way.

The ribs are “fall off the bone” tender. I kept the ribs warm and used the extra sauce for dipping.

This recipe is absolutely AH-Mazin! The only thing I would change or recommend is the cook time. Maybe add 5 more minutes. The ribs on top wasnt quite cooked all the way thru, even coming out of the broiler. The sauce made a little too much, but I cut the ribs into riblets and tossed them in the extra sauce. I will be making this again and again and again

This recipe is sooo good and easy to make! It was actually the first thing I tried when i got my IP. The only thing I did different was the cook time. I did 50min and I did Natural release for 20min… Meat was nice and tender.

My family lived these. My husband couldnt believe i made ribs in less than an hour. Its usually a long, drawn out process.

What is the pot’s heat setting? The recipe didn’t specify the temperature to which we need to set the Instant Pot’s heat.

Correction: I should have asked for the PRESSURE setting (not heat setting). What pressure setting should the Instant Pot be set to? Thank you.

Hubbie loved this! Served with brown rive and sauteed eggplant. Little sweet so you might want to cut honey/sugar. I added more garlic and red pepper for added kick. Meat came out perfectly tender.

These were really good! My husband RAVED about the sauce! Says its better than any hes ever made and thats saying something, because he is the bbq king! Anyway, i didnt use the red pepper flakes, i used the dry Franks powder instead (because of my sons intolerance to spicy). My ribs we still raw after 25 mins. I layered them like the recipe said, i think next time i will stand them up on end! A keeper!

Delish! My 9 yr old said the best ribs he’s ever had…my sauce was a little thin, but i used a little less than 1/2 cup of xylo-sweet instead of sugar…it was still great.

These are delicious and really easy to make. We made them tonight and served them with a cabbage salad with an asian salad dressing and rice. Very tender and flavorful.
