I’m a newbie to IP and this was a very good way to break my pot Iin.
My artichokes turned out tender, my husband absolutely loves artichokes and now he can have them when ever he wants since its so quick and not having to cook on the stove keeps from heating the kitchen.

I have a question. When you use the steam program do you seal the pot or do you allow it to vent? Thanks and I look forward to trying the recipe.

    Hi Tracibrown,

When using a Pressure Cook program, like the Steam setting, please ensure the Steam Release is set to Seal.

Well, is it 20 or 30 minutes to steam artichokes to perfection? You are the pros and I am looking to you!

I have a brand new duo evo. The main reason I purchased an instant pot was time cook artichokes. I followed the directions and cooked them on Steam, wondering why not on Pressure Cook, but increased the cooking time to 45 minutes because I had two large 12 oz artichokes. They were not nearly done so I added another 4 oz of water and cooked them on Pressure Cook for 15 minutes. One was still a little undercooked the other was perfect. What was so frustrating is I could not find any information on why to cook them on Steam. I could have done the same on top of my stove! So now I know to use the Pressure Cook button for artichokes. I did enjoy the parmesan cheese and the red pepper flakes, great flavor.
