Where is the sous vide button?..is that spanish for something?
This recipe is for our Sous Vide or our Max Pressure cooker that is coming out within the month.
So the “sous vide” recipes can Not be done in the Ultra? If not, is there another way to make creme brulee?
First time using the sous vide feature on my Max and it turned out perfectly! Super easy and resulted in tender steaks cooked exactly how we like them, medium rare.
You can do sous vide in the Instant Pot Ultra. Select the “Ultra” setting.
We are happy to hear you are enjoying the Sous Vide feature of the Max.
Steaks cooked Sous Vide are delicious.
Worked great in the Instant Pot Smart Wifi. The sous vide function is somewhat hidden and only available via the app; there’s no physical button for this mode.
Cooked for about 6h then seared both sides of the steak with a cast iron pan + blowtorch.
We both thought this was the best steak we’ve ever had anywhere. Highly recommend!
Thank you! You should try this silicone trivet with heat-resistant handles. it’s much better than the metal trivet that came with the instant pot. I got it on Amazon: https://amzn.to/35LvU9n
The recipe could use some clarificopm. “use the handles of the trivet to hold them down onto it.” “them are the steaks, what is “it”. Assuming the “it” to be the cooker, how do you position the handles to hold the steaks down”. I am presuming this means to use the rack in the opposite manner. Instead of using it to keep the food above the waterline, use it to keep the steaks submerged?
My typing could also use some “clarification”!
Vent or Seal? Air escaping can cause temps to fluctuate, so does it matter?
Recipe tells me to pay careful attention to the water level in the pot. how do you do this? do you open the lid occasionally?
Thank you very much for the recipe! For anyone who asked for Instant Pot accessories, check out this Amazon store – https://amzn.to/3rzTm7K
