Ingredients
  • 3cups whole milk
  • 2/3cup sugar
  • 1cup uncooked basmati ricerinsed and drained
  • 1/2cup golden raisins
  • 3 whole green cardamom pods or 1/4 tsp ground cardamon
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • grated orange peel(optional)
  • pistachio nuts(optional)
Instructions
  1. Combine milk and sugar in Instant Pot®; stir until sugar is dissolved. Add rice, raisins, cardamom and salt; mix well.
  2. Secure lid and move pressure release valve to Sealing position. Press Manual or Pressure Cook; cook at high pressure 5 minutes.
  3. When cooking is complete, use natural release for 10 minutes, then release remaining pressure.
  4. Stir rice pudding well before serving. (Pudding will thicken upon standing.) Garnish with orange peel and pistachios.
