  • 7-8 tomatoes peeled, seeded, and diced
  • 8 oz (200 g) sliced mushrooms
  • 3 cups water or chicken broth
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups short whole wheat pasta
  • pepper to taste
  • Handful of Parmesan cheese

Instructions
  1. Place the stainless steel inner pot inside the Instant Pot®. Press Saute and set time to 20 Minutes. Add the olive oil to the ground meat, stirring constantly. Once browned, set aside.
  2. Add the onion, carrot, ground garlic, and salt.
  3. Once the onion is translucent, add tomatoes and mix.
  4. Return the ground beef to the pot.
  5. Add the mushrooms, broth or water, tomato sauce, pasta, and pepper to taste. Once this is done, press Cancel.
  6. Close and lock the Instant Pot® lid. Make sure the steam release handle is turned to Sealing. Press Pressure Cook, pressure level High, and set time to 6 Minutes.
  7. When done, press CANCEL and turn the steam release handle to Venting. Once all the pressure has been released, open the lid.
  8. If there is still a lot of liquid, press Saute again and continue mixing constantly until thickened.
  9. Finally, add the Parmesan cheese; mix and serve.
