Ingredients
- Drizzle olive oil
- 1 lb (500 g) ground meat
- 1 white onion chopped
- 1 carrot chopped
- 1 tbsp ground garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 7-8 tomatoes peeled, seeded, and diced
- 8 oz (200 g) sliced mushrooms
- 3 cups water or chicken broth
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups short whole wheat pasta
- pepper to taste
- Handful of Parmesan cheese

Instructions
- Place the stainless steel inner pot inside the Instant Pot®. Press Saute and set time to 20 Minutes. Add the olive oil to the ground meat, stirring constantly. Once browned, set aside.
- Add the onion, carrot, ground garlic, and salt.
- Once the onion is translucent, add tomatoes and mix.
- Return the ground beef to the pot.
- Add the mushrooms, broth or water, tomato sauce, pasta, and pepper to taste. Once this is done, press Cancel.
- Close and lock the Instant Pot® lid. Make sure the steam release handle is turned to Sealing. Press Pressure Cook, pressure level High, and set time to 6 Minutes.
- When done, press CANCEL and turn the steam release handle to Venting. Once all the pressure has been released, open the lid.
- If there is still a lot of liquid, press Saute again and continue mixing constantly until thickened.
- Finally, add the Parmesan cheese; mix and serve.
