Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 onion diced
- 3 large carrots diced
- 4 celery stalks diced
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 2 ½ lbs. ground beef
- 2 ½ lbs. ground pork
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 c Water
- ½ c heavy whipping cream
- 1 c grated parmesan
- basil for garnish

- Preheat the appliance on SAUTE mode set for 20 minutes.
- Add the butter and stir until melted.
- Add the diced onion, carrots, celery, and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté for 7-9 minutes until fragrant and wilted.
- Add the tomato paste and stir to combine. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until any remaining liquid has evaporated.
- Add the ground beef and pork. Sauté for another 10 minutes, or until the meat turns from red to gray. Stir occasionally to ensure no sticking.
- Add salt, pepper, and water. PRESSURE COOK on HIGH for 25 minutes. Allow the pot to naturally release for 5 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Add the heavy whipping cream and grated parmesan. Season to taste as needed. If Bolognese is too runny, turn on SAUTE mode and bring to a boil for 5-10 minutes.
- Toss with cooked pasta noodles, or layer into your favorite lasagna. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
