Instructions
  1. Put all dry ingredients into the Instant Pot inner pot, add 2 cups water, and stir. Secure the lid, ensuring the valve is turned to the Sealing position. Press the Pressure Cook button and set the time to 1 minute.
  2. When cooking is compete, turn the valve to the Venting position to release the pressure. Remove the lid.
  3. Add the rum to the pot and give it a stir or whisk. Ladle the buttered rum into 4 mugs and garnish each with a cinnamon stick.

    I really like this recipe especially for fall. It tastes like eggnog but it’s an aquired taste. Definitely gets better as you keep drinking. Enjoy!

    Good recipe. Horrible instructions. If you use connamon sticks in the IP instead of ground cinnamon you will have it fall apart in your drink. I would use less butter and more rum. I also use apple cider instead of water.

    Easy and delicious! The ccinnamon stick remained sturdy after cooking so it was repurposed as a stirring stick for my cup. Definitly making again.

    I used thick cinnamon sticks rather than the ones with multiple thin layers of bark.

    It was far too buttery so I’m going to take it way down to 1 Tbs of butter. I used unsalted – recipe didn’t state which to use. I used 1 cup of Siesta Key Spiced Rum. I would not use Captain Morgans for this. Regular rum could be used, just add whole allspice and whole cloves to get the spice flavor. They can probably be put in cheesecloth. I’ll update if i can after I try that.
