Instructions
  1. If your ribs have a thin membrane over the bones on the backside, remove it by carefully sliding a knife under the membrane and peeling it away.
  2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, mustard powder, and cayenne. Rub mixture all over ribs.
  3. Place trivet in Instant Pot and add water. Place ribs on trivet so that they are standing up.
  4. Secure lid and set to Pressure Cook on High for 20 minutes.
  5. Follow manufacturer’s guide for quick release, making sure to wait until the cycle is complete before unlocking and removing lid.
  6. Using tongs, carefully remove ribs from Instant Pot and lay them flat on a large baking sheet. Brush both sides all over with barbecue sauce before serving.

I made the ribs the only thing i would recommend, once they are cooked in the instant pot is to barbecue them and put them under the broiler for about 5 till 10 minutes on each side. You are talking melting in your mouths ribs. DELICIOUS!

amazing and super easy. We doubled the recipe. I added BBQ sauce and put it in the broiler for 5 min each side. Definitely a great idea.

One thing to try is substituting apple juice for the water and adding a small amount of liquid smoke as well. Then do the 5 to 10 minutes under the broiler or on the grill. Amazing!

First time user. Baby back ribs recipe says to add water. How much water?!?! And set timer for 20 minutes…cooking time table says 20 minutes PER pound. I assume 20 per pound is the right choice.

I really wish that the instructions would have noted that you need a trivet. I don’t have a trivet. I had all the ingredients ready to go and no trivet. Very disappointed!!!

Falling off the bone! I really liked these. I made a few adjustments due to allergens and not having ingrediants on hand. Also i put them in rhe broiler for 5-10 minutes.
