  • 3 cups water or low-sodium broth
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup milk or half and half
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions
  1. Apply a thin layer of cooking spray to the base of the Instant Pot to keep grits from sticking.
  2. Add 1 cup of yellow or white stone-ground grits, 3 cups water or low sodium broth, and 2 tsp salt to pot.
  3. Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release handle to Sealing.
  4. Select Pressure Cook and cook for 10 Minutes.
  5. Then allow for 15 Minutes Natural Release.
  6. Flip valve to quick-release any remaining pressure.
  7. Remove lid and using a whisk, stir in milk, melted butter, and black pepper to remove any clumps.
  8. Serve warm.
