Instructions
  1. Mix buttermilk, egg, ½ tbsp of salt and a pinch of black pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Dip chicken pieces in the buttermilk mixture and leave in it until the flour mixture is ready.
  3. In a large plate or tray, mix flour, cornstarch, ½ tbsp of salt and a pinch of black pepper.
  4. Set aside another tray for buttered chicken pieces.
  5. Select Air Fry. Set the temperature to 390°F and set the time to 15 Minutes. Press Start.
  6. Take one chicken piece out of the buttermilk mixture. Shake gently. Dip in the flour mixture and coat well. Shake gently to remove excess flour mixture. Arrange chickens on the empty tray, side by side.
  7. Repeat step 6 for all chicken pieces.
  8. When the unit is hot, spray oil the air frying plate in the bottom of the basket.
  9. Spray oil top of the chicken pieces generously.
  10. Place in the air frying basket, leaving some gap between the pieces for hot air flow.
  11. Turn pieces in around 7 Minutes, when nice brown spots developed on the chicken. Spray oil the chicken after turning.
  12. In a large bowl, mix hot sauce and lime juice.
  13. Chickens will be ready when brown spots developed on all sides and internal temperature has exceeded 165°F.
  14. Take chickens out and toss with the lime hot sauce.
  15. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
Recipe Notes

Chef`s Tip: Replace lime-hot sauce with your favorite sauce, such as barbecue, for kid-friendly non-spicy version. "
