I used coconut oil but all the recipes I’ve seen online never use oil. I also added a whole pitted date and a tsp of vanilla extract. This is my first time making this so i dont have anything to compare it to. However, i do like it. I used roughly 40 ounces of water instead of 48.

How would I ‘convert’ this recipe for the DUO or any pressure cooker that doesn’t have the milk program?

I made this and it woked great. I did leave out the oil because I don’t want to be drinking oil.
I usually soak the oats for 20 minutes. But this time I skipped that.

The instuctions are terrible. Is the nut/oat milk program the porridge program. It also says blender will beep? Is this for the Instant Pot?

    Hi Laura,

Instant Pot is the brand and not the product. This recipe is for the Instant Pot Ace Blender.

    Hi Deanna,

Our apologies, that was 24 minutes and not 240 minutes. Simply add ingredients and select the program and it will do the magic for you. The time is for your reference but is not needed as it is an automated program.

For those who are confused by the oil: There is fat in real milk, and there is also a substantial amount of fat in nut milk.
Oats contain considerably less fat than almonds, for example, and adding a mere teaspoon of oil simply serves to enhance the flavour profile of your homemade oat milk.
You may have noticed that the recipes for soy and nut milk do not contain oil as an ingredient, because soy and nuts are fatty.
This oat milk tastes good as is, but even better with a bit of stevia.

According to your directions: Cook Time is 24 minutes. What’s the reason for Cooking when all the other Oat Milk Recipes I’ve seen just mention soaking. Even then for the USA Rolled Oats are steamed and then rolled Flat, so I’ve read. Thanks for your cost effective new Blender Option and all your Recipe pictures!
